God Knows You

I have had some amazing answers to prayer recently. Not just the big things, mind you, but the little things that God answers that just tell me that he loves me!

I have some friends that say they believe in God, or at least in a higher power, but they think that God just put the universe into motion and kind of sat back and let things play out on their own.

That is not the God I know. My God knows me, personally. He knows when I am happy, when I am sad, and when I am anxious and unsure. He lets me know in subtle ways every single day that He is looking out for me and that he cares. One might think that the things I am attributing to God's divine intervention are nothing more than coincidence, and that I am deluding myself. But I know that coincidences don't happen every single time I pray!

It is my prayer, dear reader, that you can know that God loves you too! He knows you by name, and you are his!
Isaiah 43:1, 2, NIV:

But now, this is what the Lord says—
    he who created you, Jacob,
    he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
    I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
    I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
    they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
    you will not be burned;
    the flames will not set you ablaze.
